Child Safety As parents, we want to keep our children safe from harm. Unfortunately, injuries are the leading cause of death for children. Among infants 0 to 12 months old with fatal injuries, about 90% of deaths involve drowning, motor vehicles, residential fire/burns, or suffocation.
Most of these deaths could easily be prevented and it is therefore important to keep your child’s safety in mind at all times. There are important steps for us as parents to take to keep injuries from happening.
This section of the website will include various childhood safety topics. Examples include School Bus Safety, Summer Safety, Food Safety and a whole lot more. Poison prevention is included in this category but for much more details on poisonings please click here.
Although there may be some overlap of this information throughout the website (ie. News, Question of the Day), this category should make it easier for you to find this vital information in one place.
